Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi on Thursday morning after completing his visits to Russia and Austria. He expressed gratitude to Austria’s Chancellor, government, and people for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Modi described his visit to Austria as historic and immensely productive, noting that it added new vigor to the friendship between the two nations. He attended various programs in Vienna and was glad to be part of the celebrations marking 75 years of friendship between India and Austria.

During a community event in Vienna, Modi was warmly welcomed with chants of ‘Modi, Modi.’ This event highlighted the strong connection between India and its diaspora. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer thanked the teams involved in organizing the successful state visit, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Army, the police, and protocol officers.

Both leaders appreciated the growing interest in yoga and Ayurveda among Austrians and recognized the importance of skill development and the mobility of skilled personnel. They welcomed the bilateral Migration and Mobility Agreement, which facilitates such exchanges while combating irregular migration.

Modi also held significant meetings with Austrian leaders, including Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Nehammer, to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new collaboration opportunities. He met with business leaders from both countries to boost commercial and trade linkages.

Before visiting Austria, Modi was on a two-day official visit to Moscow, where he met Russian President Vladimir Putin.
