Celebrating Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jamui, Bihar, to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, marking the 150th Birth Anniversary Year of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda. During the event, he will unveil a commemorative coin and postal stamp in honor of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

Development Projects and Initiatives

The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 6,640 crore. These projects aim to uplift tribal communities and improve infrastructure in rural and remote areas.

He will participate in the Grih Pravesh of 11,000 Awas under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) and launch 23 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under PM-JANMAN and 30 MMUs under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) to enhance healthcare access in tribal areas.

Additionally, 300 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) will be inaugurated to promote tribal entrepreneurship, along with 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools dedicated to tribal students.

Preserving Tribal Heritage

The Prime Minister will inaugurate two Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museums in Madhya Pradesh and two Tribal Research Institutes in Jammu and Kashmir and Sikkim to preserve tribal history and heritage.

Infrastructure and Education

He will lay the foundation stone for 500 km of new roads and 100 Multi-Purpose Centres (MPCs) to improve connectivity and community engagement. The foundation stone for 25 additional Eklavya Model Residential Schools will also be laid, emphasizing quality education for tribal children.

Further development projects include the sanctioning of 25,000 new Awas under PM JANMAN and 1.16 lakh Awas under DAJGUA, along with hostels, Multi-Purpose Centres, Mobile Medical Units, and Anganwadi Centres.
