Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Three-Nation Tour
From November 16 to 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a significant three-nation tour, visiting Brazil, Nigeria, and Guyana. This tour aims to strengthen India’s international relations and participate in key global discussions.
Visit to Nigeria
At the invitation of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PM Modi will visit Nigeria from November 16-17. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years. The visit will focus on reviewing and enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria, which has been strong since 2007. PM Modi will also address the Indian community in Nigeria.
G20 Summit in Brazil
Following Nigeria, PM Modi will travel to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, from November 18-19 to attend the G20 Summit hosted by Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva. India, part of the G20 Troika with Brazil and South Africa, will contribute to discussions on global issues. PM Modi will also meet several leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
State Visit to Guyana
PM Modi’s tour will conclude with a state visit to Guyana from November 19-21, invited by Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana since 1968. PM Modi will hold discussions with President Ali, address the Guyanese Parliament, and meet the Indian diaspora. He will also participate in the Second CARICOM-India Summit to strengthen ties with the Caribbean region.
