Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Three-Nation Tour
From November 16 to 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a significant three-nation tour, visiting Brazil, Nigeria, and Guyana.
Visit to Nigeria
At the invitation of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PM Modi will visit Nigeria from November 16-17. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years. The visit aims to review and enhance the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria, which has been strong since 2007, with over 200 Indian companies investing more than USD 27 billion in Nigeria.
G20 Summit in Brazil
Following Nigeria, PM Modi will travel to Rio De Janeiro from November 18-19 to attend the G20 Summit hosted by Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva. India, part of the G20 Troika with Brazil and South Africa, will contribute to discussions on global issues and build on previous summit outcomes.
State Visit to Guyana
PM Modi will then visit Guyana from November 19-21, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since 1968. Invited by Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, PM Modi will hold discussions with Guyanese leaders, address the Parliament, and participate in the Second CARICOM-India Summit to strengthen ties with the region.
