Warm Welcome

Upon his arrival, PM Modi was welcomed by Alexander Schallenberg, Austria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Austria, adding significance to the trip.

Engagements in Vienna

After arriving at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Vienna, PM Modi greeted members of the Indian diaspora. Austrian artists welcomed him by singing ‘Vande Mataram’.

Before visiting Austria, PM Modi had concluded a two-day visit to Russia, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and interacted with the Indian community in Moscow.
