Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a significant two-nation visit starting with Moscow, Russia. He has been invited by President Vladimir Putin to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. This visit will include private meetings, delegation-level talks, and a luncheon hosted by President Putin. PM Modi will also address the Indian community in Russia and visit an exhibition center.

Following his engagements in Russia, PM Modi will travel to Austria on July 9-10. This visit is historic as it marks the first time an Indian Prime Minister has visited Austria in 41 years. In Austria, PM Modi will meet with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer to discuss strengthening the bond between the two nations and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Key Highlights of the Visit

According to Indian Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, this visit is crucial for discussing energy resources, trade, and other regional and international issues of mutual interest. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra also highlighted the continuous communication between the two leaders since their last meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in 2022.
