Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unveils Major Development Projects in Ahmedabad
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he has worked tirelessly to fulfill the agenda of his first 100 days in office during his third term. He emphasized that the decisions made by the government aim to improve the lives of people.
Development Projects Worth Rs 8,000 Crore
In Ahmedabad, PM Modi unveiled multiple development projects in sectors such as railways, road, power, housing, and finance, worth more than Rs 8,000 crore. He stated, “During the Lok Sabha elections, I guaranteed the countrymen that unprecedented decisions would be taken in the first 100 days of my third term. In the last 100 days, I spared no effort to fulfill the agenda of 100 days.”
Progress on Housing and Infrastructure
PM Modi highlighted that work has commenced on projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore and that rapid progress is being made on constructing 3 crore new houses. He also mentioned the inauguration of the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and the flagging off of India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, along with several Vande Bharat trains on various routes.
Relief Efforts for Heavy Rains
Addressing the heavy rains in Gujarat, PM Modi assured that both the central and state governments are doing their best to provide relief to the affected people. He expressed his prayers for the speedy recovery of those being treated.
Housing Initiatives
PM Modi handed over completed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to beneficiaries in Ahmedabad. He sanctioned more than 30,000 houses under the PMAY-Gramin and released the first installment for these houses, as well as launched the construction of new houses under the PMAY Scheme.
