On October 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, to launch and lay the foundation stone for various projects worth approximately Rs 1,300 crore. The Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, Kaushal Raj Sharma, announced that PM Modi will initiate 23 projects during his visit. He will also address the public at a program in Varanasi.

Preparations are in full swing in Varanasi ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit. The city is gearing up to welcome PM Modi as he embarks on this significant development mission.

Connectivity Boost with Multi-Tracking Project

In related news, Amit Shah expressed gratitude to PM Modi for enhancing connectivity after the Union Cabinet approved the Varanasi-Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Multi-Tracking Project, valued at Rs 2,642 crore. This project includes constructing a new Rail-cum-Road Bridge across the Ganga River, passing through Varanasi and Chandauli districts.

The multi-tracking project aims to ease operations and reduce congestion on one of the busiest sections of Indian Railways. Varanasi Railway Station, a key hub, connects important zones and serves pilgrims, tourists, and locals. The Varanasi-Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction route is crucial for passenger and freight traffic, handling goods like coal, cement, and food grains, while also supporting tourism and industrial growth.
