Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in Moscow, Russia, highlighting the confidence of Indian youth as India’s greatest asset. Addressing the Indian diaspora, he emphasized the importance of self-belief and self-confidence for achieving success.

Modi contrasted the current state of the nation with the pre-2014 era, noting significant improvements. He said, “Before 2014, we were in the depths of despair. But today, the country is full of confidence. And this is the biggest asset of Hindustan.”

He praised India’s 140 crore citizens for their role in the country’s development and their dreams of a developed India. “India is changing because it believes in the 140 crore citizens to usher in development. All citizens dream of a developed India,” he said.

Modi also mentioned India’s growing global influence, stating, “Today, as a friend to the world, India is giving new confidence to the world. India’s growing capabilities have given hope of stability and prosperity to the entire world. India is being seen as a strong pillar in the new, emerging multipolar world order.”

Using the Indian cricket team’s T20 World Cup victory as an example, Modi said, “The victory lay in not giving up until the last ball. That is the representation of today’s youth. The anecdote is not just limited to the game. Victory is achieved by only those who refuse to give up.”

He concluded by noting that the Indian diaspora in Russia was the first group he addressed after becoming Prime Minister for the third time last month.
