Prime Minister Narendra Modi Criticizes Congress Over Reservation Policies in Jharkhand Rally
During a campaign rally in Sarath, Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party for its stance on reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). He accused Congress of trying to weaken the rights of these groups and claimed that the party has consistently opposed reservation policies.
Modi alleged that Congress aims to divide SC, ST, and OBC communities to diminish their collective influence. He urged voters to remain vigilant and united, emphasizing the importance of their unity for safety.
Shifting focus to regional parties, Modi accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of prioritizing their families’ interests over the public’s. He claimed these parties have misappropriated resources meant for the people of Jharkhand.
Modi also raised concerns about foreign infiltration in Jharkhand, particularly affecting the tribal population in Santhal. He assured that the BJP would protect local resources and culture.
With the first phase of voting underway, Modi encouraged support for the BJP, promising women’s empowerment and youth opportunities. He extended festive greetings and highlighted the significance of the upcoming 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Birsa Munda.
The first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections began with voting in 43 out of 81 seats, with the remaining elections scheduled for November 20 and vote counting on November 23.
