Prime Minister Modi’s Government Achieves Major Milestones in First 100 Days
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has completed its first 100 days in office, achieving several significant milestones. The government approved projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore, focusing on roads, railways, ports, and airways. Increasing capital expenditure to Rs 11.11 lakh crore is expected to create jobs.
Farming Sector
The 17th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi was released, distributing Rs 20,000 crore to 9.3 crore farmers. The Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Kharif crops for 2024-25 was increased, benefiting farmers by approximately Rs 2 lakh crore.
Infrastructure and Development
The Polavaram Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh was approved with an allocation of Rs 12,100 crore. Seven major schemes with a total outlay of Rs 14,200 crore were also approved, including the Digital Agriculture Mission.
Youth and Employment
The government announced a Rs 2 lakh crore package to promote employment and skill development among the youth. One crore youth will receive internships at top companies, and the goal is to skill 20 lakh youth. Over 15,000 new appointments were announced.
Women Empowerment
Certificates were awarded to 11 lakh new Lakhpati Didis, with more than 1 crore Lakhpati Didis now earning over Rs 1 lakh per year. The MUDRA loan limit was increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
Tribal Development
Under the Prime Minister’s Developed Tribal Village Campaign, 63,000 tribal villages will be developed, improving the socio-economic status of 5 crore tribals.
Health Sector
75,000 new medical seats were added, and the National Medical Commission is preparing a National Medical Register.
Regional Development
The Purvoday Scheme aims for the comprehensive development of Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh. Rs 6,350 crore was allocated for Urban Flood Management and Glacial Lake Outburst Flood Risk Mitigation Projects. Five new districts were created in Ladakh.
Security
A peace agreement was made in Tripura, and a ‘Samanvay’ platform for cybercrime stakeholders was introduced. The Cyberdost mobile app was launched, and an advanced ‘Cyber Fraud Mitigation Center’ was established.
