Prime Minister Modi Wears Assam’s Gamosa at International Yoga Day in Srinagar

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing his love for Assam’s ‘Gamosa’ by wearing it during the International Day of Yoga event in Srinagar. The event took place at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sonowal highlighted the spiritual devotion associated with the Gamosa and thanked Modi on behalf of the people of Assam and the devotees of Krishnaguru Sevashram. He also performed yoga in Tinsukia, Assam, emphasizing the global adoption of yoga under Modi’s leadership.

Prime Minister Modi led the 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations, which aimed to promote health and wellness globally. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Yoga for Self and Society,’ focusing on individual well-being and societal harmony. Several Union Ministers and leaders participated in yoga sessions across the country.

Since 2015, Prime Minister Modi has led the International Day of Yoga celebrations at various iconic locations, including Kartavya Path in Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru, and the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
