Prime Minister Modi Meets Russian Deputy PM Denis Manturov
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Denis Manturov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, in New Delhi. The meeting focused on enhancing the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. PM Modi expressed his happiness over the progress made in implementing decisions from his recent meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a post on social media, PM Modi shared his satisfaction with the collaborative efforts of both countries. The discussions between the leaders covered various sectors, including trade, economics, energy, and connectivity. The Prime Minister’s Office highlighted the importance of these joint efforts in strengthening bilateral ties.
Denis Manturov is also scheduled to participate in the 25th Session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation. This session, held in New Delhi, aims to review ongoing initiatives and explore new areas for collaboration.
During his visit, Manturov will engage in bilateral meetings with key Indian leaders to further discuss strategic cooperation. Last month, PM Modi attended the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, where he praised the productive discussions and thanked President Putin and the Russian people for their hospitality.
Earlier, PM Modi visited Russia for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit, where he was honored with the “Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle” for his efforts in strengthening ties between the two nations.
