Anwar Ibrahim paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Rajghat and signed the visitor’s book. He expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the beneficial relationship between Malaysia and India.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of their countries’ long-standing relationship and explored new areas of collaboration. The bilateral relationship between India and Malaysia was elevated to an Enhanced Strategic Partnership in 2015 during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Malaysia.
