Prime Minister Modi Celebrates Birsa Munda’s 150th Birth Anniversary
On November 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a revered figure among the tribal community. He will engage in an e-samwad with beneficiaries of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan – PM Janman’ from Jamui, Bihar. Additionally, he will launch the ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’ nationwide.
State-Level Celebrations in Gujarat
The state-level celebration will occur on November 15 at Ahwa in Dang, chaired by Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Various programs will be organized across the state to celebrate ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas,’ with participation from ministers, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly.

The event will be held at Police Parade Ground, Ahwa, at 10 AM. Guests will include Tribal Development Minister Dr. Kuberbhai Dindor, MP of Valsad-Dang and Lok Sabha Whip Dhaval Patel, Dang MLA and Gujarat Legislative Assembly Deputy Whip Vijay Patel, and Dang District Panchayat President Nirmalaben Gain, among other dignitaries.
Prime Minister Modi’s e-samwad aims to improve the lives of tribal communities, raise awareness about government schemes, and ensure these benefits reach remote areas. ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ was declared in 2021 to honor Birsa Munda, a great revolutionary and warrior of the tribal community.
