On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Union Cabinet’s approval of two significant agricultural schemes: the PM Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Krishonnati Yojana (KY). These initiatives aim to make food producers self-reliant and enhance food security across India.

The Union Cabinet, led by PM Modi, approved the rationalization of all Centrally Sponsored Schemes under the Ministry of Agriculture into two umbrella schemes: PM-RKVY and KY. These schemes will be implemented with a total expenditure of over Rs 1 lakh crore.
