Prime Minister Modi and NDA Leaders Meet in Parliament

New Delhi, July 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) gathered for a meeting at the Parliament Library Building. This meeting took place ahead of the Parliament Session on Tuesday.

Various NDA leaders, including Giriraj Singh, Milind Deora, Kangana Ranaut, and Jayant Chaudhary, were seen arriving for the meeting. Prime Minister Modi will address the MPs, marking his first speech to the ruling bloc since assuming office for a third consecutive term.

The BJP-led NDA won a third term in the recent Lok Sabha elections, securing 293 seats. The BJP alone won 240 seats, while the Congress secured 99 seats. The opposition INDIA bloc won 234 seats.

On Monday, a significant uproar occurred in the Lok Sabha over remarks made by Rahul Gandhi. The BJP accused the Raebareli MP of insulting the Hindu community. Prime Minister Modi criticized Gandhi’s comments, calling them a serious matter. Home Minister Amit Shah demanded an apology from Gandhi.

During a debate on the motion of thanks on the President’s Address, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led government of systematically attacking the idea of India. The BJP held a press conference to denounce Gandhi’s remarks, while the Congress held an evening presser to criticize the ruling party.
