Kamala Pujari’s Legacy
Kamala Pujari was a native of Patraput village in Jeypore block. She received the Padma Shri award in 2019 for her contributions to organic farming. In 2002, she was honored with the Equator Initiative Award in Johannesburg, South Africa, for her efforts in preserving indigenous varieties of paddy.
