Modi praised Germany’s ‘Focus on India Strategy’ and noted the progress in various sectors since the last meeting in Berlin in 2022.

Both nations are working together in areas like AI, semiconductors, clean energy, and education. Modi welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to his residence, discussing ways to enhance the India-Germany friendship. They inaugurated the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business, where Modi spoke about India’s growth potential and the importance of AI.

Global Challenges and Solutions

Chancellor Scholz called for collective action to resolve global conflicts, including the Russia-Ukraine crisis, based on international law. He warned of the repercussions of a successful Russian invasion of Ukraine on global security.

This visit marks Scholz’s third trip to India since becoming Chancellor in 2021.
