During a joint press conference at Hyderabad House, PM Modi announced a new agreement on the exchange of classified information and a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty to combat terrorism and separatism.

PM Modi expressed concern over conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia, reiterating India’s commitment to peace. He warmly welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his delegation, marking their third meeting in two years. Modi praised Germany’s “Focus on India Strategy,” aimed at modernizing and elevating the partnership between the two democracies.

Both leaders agreed on initiatives in technology, skills, and innovation, focusing on artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and clean energy. Modi highlighted India’s youth contributing to Germany’s growth and welcomed Germany’s skilled labor strategies for India.

India and Germany exchanged several MoUs and agreements during Scholz’s two-day state visit for the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations. This visit marks Scholz’s third trip to India since becoming Chancellor in 2021.
