President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Awards Medal to Kenyan Ambassador Kariuki Mugwe
Abu Dhabi [UAE], August 15: President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the First-Class Medal of Independence to Kariuki Mugwe, the former Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the UAE, marking the end of his tenure.
The medal was given in recognition of Ambassador Mugwe’s efforts in strengthening the relationship between the UAE and Kenya across various fields. Salem Al Naqbi, the UAE Ambassador to Nairobi and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme and UN-Habitat, presented the medal to Mugwe during a meeting at the UAE Embassy in Nairobi.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al Naqbi emphasized the UAE’s commitment to enhancing relations with Kenya in all areas. He wished Mugwe success in his future endeavors and praised his role in fostering strong ties between the two nations.
In response, Mugwe expressed his gratitude to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and appreciated the cooperation from UAE entities that contributed to the success of his mission.
