President Joe Biden and Donald Trump Clash in Heated Debate

During a debate hosted by CNN, President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump, calling him a ‘convicted felon’ and questioning the billions he owed in civil penalties for various offenses. Biden’s remarks marked the first time he brought up Trump’s criminal convictions during a debate.

Biden said, ‘The only person on this stage who is a convicted felon is this man I’m looking at right now,’ referring to Trump. He also likened Trump’s morals to those of an ‘alley cat’ and questioned his actions, including molesting a woman in public and having sex with a porn star while his wife was pregnant.

Trump responded by bringing up Biden’s son, Hunter, and demanded an apology from Biden for mentioning the ‘suckers and losers’ remarks. Biden defended his son Beau, an Iraq war veteran who died of brain cancer, saying, ‘My son was not a loser, was not a sucker. You’re the sucker, you’re the loser.’

Trump is currently facing four federal criminal cases. These include the Hush Money Trial, where he was indicted for fabricating business documents related to a 2016 payment to an adult film star, and a classified documents case involving the theft of secret national defense documents. He is also involved in an election interference case and the Fulton County case, where he and 18 others were indicted for efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Both Biden and Trump have launched their campaigns for the upcoming presidential election, with Biden starting his re-election campaign in April 2023 and Trump launching his bid to reclaim the White House in November 2022.
