On November 7, President Droupadi Murmu will embark on the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant to observe naval operations at sea. The Ministry of Defence announced this event, highlighting its significance. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, will welcome the President at INS Hansa, a Naval Air Station in Goa, with a 150-men Ceremonial Guard of Honour.

This marks President Murmu’s first voyage on the INS Vikrant, where she will witness a range of naval operations. These include surface ship operations, battle actions, submarine exercises, and air power demonstrations. The air power demo will feature take-offs and landings by deck-based fighter aircraft and helicopters, along with a flypast by naval aircraft.
