President Droupadi Murmu to Witness Indian Navy Operations on INS Vikrant

On November 7, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu will experience the Indian Navy’s multi-domain operations at sea aboard the indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. The Ministry of Defence announced that Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, will welcome the President at INS Hansa, the Naval Air Station in Goa, with a 150-men Ceremonial Guard of Honour.

Following the reception, President Murmu will embark on the INS Vikrant to observe a range of naval operations. This marks her first voyage on the aircraft carrier. The operations will showcase surface ship maneuvers, battle actions, submarine exercises, and air power demonstrations, including take-offs and landings by deck-based fighter aircraft and helicopters, as well as a flypast by naval aircraft.
