President Droupadi Murmu Opens Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2024

New Delhi [India], August 14, 2024: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2024 on Wednesday. The garden will be open to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry at 05:15 PM. Mondays will be reserved for maintenance.

Special days include August 29, reserved for sportspersons to mark National Sports Day, and September 5, reserved for teachers on Teachers’ Day. Entry is free but requires registration, which can be done online on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website or through Self Service Kiosks at Gate No. 35. A free shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 will be available.

Amrit Udyan, formerly known as Mughal Garden, spans 15 acres at Rashtrapati Bhavan and includes the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden.

Earlier, on August 10, President Murmu received the Grand Collar of the Order of Timor-Leste, the highest civilian award of Timor-Leste. During her 3-nation tour of Fiji, New Zealand, and Timor-Leste, she was also awarded Fiji’s highest civilian honor, ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’. President Murmu expressed that these honors reflect the deep friendship between the nations.
