She compared water bodies to banks, emphasizing the importance of storing water before using it. She cited examples from Rajasthan and Gujarat where effective water storage methods have alleviated water scarcity.

The President highlighted the 2021 ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign, which focuses on water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and water management. She encouraged children to participate in water conservation efforts and called for a mass movement to transform Jal Shakti’s efforts.
