President Droupadi Murmu Honors Armed Forces and Coast Guard Heroes
New Delhi [India], July 20: President Droupadi Murmu has awarded 94 distinguished service decorations to the personnel of the Armed Forces and the Indian Coast Guard. The awards were presented during the second phase of the defense investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the awards included:

These decorations were given for distinguished service of exceptional order.
The first phase of the ceremony was held on July 5, where President Murmu conferred 10 Kirti Chakras (seven posthumous) and 26 Shaurya Chakras (seven posthumous) to the personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State/Union Territory Police. These awards were given for acts of conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage, and extreme devotion to duty.
