President Murmu extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of India, expressing her delight in seeing the nation prepare for the Independence Day celebrations. She also acknowledged the contributions of tribal leaders such as Tilka Manjhi, Birsa Munda, Laxman Naik, and Phulo-Jhano.

President Murmu noted the observance of Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas on August 14, a day to remember the horrors of partition. She also mentioned the celebration of the 75th year of the Constitution, reaffirming India’s commitment to justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity.
