President Droupadi Murmu Announces Big Plans for India’s Future in Parliament

New Delhi [India], June 27: President Droupadi Murmu assured the nation that major economic and social decisions will be announced during the upcoming Union Budget sessions. She highlighted the formation of a stable government with a complete majority after six decades and the trust people have shown in this government for the third time.

President Murmu stated that the first budget of this term will be an effective document of the government’s far-reaching policies and futuristic vision. She mentioned that along with big economic and social decisions, many historic steps will also be seen in this budget.

Congratulations to the 18th Lok Sabha

Addressing a joint sitting of both Houses, the President congratulated the newly elected members of the 18th Lok Sabha and expressed her gratitude to the Election Commission of India for holding the elections peacefully. She emphasized the importance of fulfilling the aspirations of 140 crore countrymen.

Peace in the North East

The President highlighted the government’s efforts for lasting peace in the North East, addressing several old problems in the last 10 years. She mentioned the development work in sectors like education, health, tourism, and employment, and the construction of a semiconductor plant in Assam.

Economic Growth

President Murmu noted that the government’s resolve to Reform, Perform, and Transform has made India the fastest-growing economy in the world. She highlighted India’s rise from the 11th largest economy to the fifth largest in 10 years and the goal to become the third largest economy.

Women’s Empowerment

Highlighting the Women’s Reservation Bill, the President mentioned the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which has ushered in a new era of women’s empowerment in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha.
