Prashant Kishor Criticizes Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, Announces New Party Plans
Patna (Bihar) [India], August 25: Prashant Kishor, the chief of Jan Suraaj and a former election strategist, took a jab at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Kishor said it is laughable when Yadav talks about development, as his party ruled Bihar for 15 years without understanding GDP and growth rates. Kishor added that Yadav’s views on Bihar change based on his political position.
Kishor also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s stance on the caste census, questioning why the Congress party did not conduct it during their 60 years in power. He suggested that Gandhi should implement the caste census in Congress-ruled states first to prove its effectiveness.
Regarding the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, Kishor announced that Jan Suraaj will contest all 243 seats, with at least 40 women candidates. He emphasized the importance of economic independence for women and proposed government-backed financial support for women seeking employment.
Kishor also revealed plans to launch a new political party on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, ahead of the Bihar assembly polls. The party will start with over one lakh office bearers, and leaders will be elected from their respective constituencies. Kishor expressed confidence in winning the 2025 assembly elections.
