Prasad Lad Demands Resignation of Ambadas Danve for Abusive Language
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 2: Prasad Lad, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, has demanded the resignation of Ambadas Danve, the Leader of Opposition from the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena. Lad accused Danve of using abusive language against his mother and sister.
“I demand the resignation of LoP Ambadas Danve as he used abusive words aimed at my mother and sister yesterday. I have spoken to the CM and DCM about this incident. Uddhav Thackeray should also ask his leader about this incident. I request the government to take action against Ambadas Danve,” Lad said while addressing the media.
The incident led to a massive uproar in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, with a heated argument between Danve and Lad. Lad insisted on strict action against Danve by the Deputy Chairman.
Lad also called for a resolution in the Maharashtra Legislative Council against Rahul Gandhi for his statement on Hindus in the Parliament. Danve argued that the matter was being discussed in the Parliament and should not be their focus.
A massive uproar erupted in the Lok Sabha over Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, with BJP accusing him of insulting the Hindu community. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah demanded an apology from Gandhi. The Congress leader had targeted the BJP-led government, alleging a systematic attack on the idea of India.
