Ambuja Cements Limited’s Big Investment
Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the Adani Group, is setting up a new cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj, Bihar. This plant will have a capacity of 6 million tonnes per year and will cost around Rs 1600 crore. The project will be done in three phases, with the first phase expected to be ready by December 2025.
Location and Connectivity
The plant will be located in Mosama village, Warisaliganj, Nawada district. It is well-connected by road and rail, with the Warisaliganj railway station just 1 km away and SH-83 only 500 meters from the site.
Benefits for Bihar
This project will help meet Bihar’s growing infrastructure needs. It will contribute about Rs 250 crore per year to the state’s revenue and create 250 direct jobs and 1000 indirect jobs.
Foundation Ceremony
The foundation stone was laid by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said, “This investment by the Adani Group shows Bihar’s growth potential and our commitment to sustainable development.”

Pranav Adani, Managing Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, said, “This investment aligns with the State Government’s development programs and our growth plans.” He also thanked the Bihar government for their support.

Future Plans
BIADA has allotted 67.90 acres of land for this project, and environmental clearance has been obtained. Another cement unit is planned in Mahbal, Motipur, Muzaffarpur, with 26.60 acres of land allotted and environmental clearance in process.
