Prajwal Revanna and Suraj Revanna Face Multiple Charges in Karnataka
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police has registered a fourth case against Prajwal Revanna, a former Janata Dal (Secular) MP from Hassan. This case involves charges of sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation, along with clandestinely recording and sharing images of the victim.
Three others, including former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda, have also been named in the FIR. They are accused of sharing images that Prajwal Revanna recorded during the harassment of a victim on a video call. The victim’s complaint states that the recording and sharing of the clip caused embarrassment and loss of image for her family.
The fourth FIR has been registered under IPC sections 354(A), 354(D), 354(B), 506, and 66 E of the Information Technology Act.
In a separate incident, Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Suraj Revanna, son of former Karnataka minister HD Revanna, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a male party worker. The case was registered under Sections 377 (unnatural sex), 342, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code at Holenarasipura police station in Hassan district. The complaint states that the assault occurred at Suraj Revanna’s farmhouse on June 16.
