Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 21: T.P. Singh, the Post Office Superintendent in Bulandshahr, allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday following a CBI raid at the Bulandshahr Main Post Office concerning a corruption investigation. Singh, who took over the post in 2021, died in his home district of Aligarh.

After being questioned by the CBI for hours, Singh returned to Aligarh, where he allegedly took his own life and posted a suicide note in WhatsApp groups. The note, dated August 21, 2024, was addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Aligarh Police and named several colleagues for allegedly harassing and pressuring him. The letter stated, “There has been constant pressure to get work done and there have been several complaints.” Singh also held certain individuals directly responsible for his death, adding, “I am fed up with the above-mentioned people after being constantly pressured by them.”

The CBI raid, which took place late in the evening, involved questioning multiple people and seizing important documents. Singh was interrogated until 4 AM by the agency. His suicide note, posted on WhatsApp, has since gone viral on the platform.
