On Friday, Superintendent of Police (SP City) Pramod Kumar assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in a stone pelting incident at Dehradun Railway Station. The incident occurred last night and involved a clash between two communities, resulting in vandalized vehicles.

The incident began when a minor girl from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, arrived at the railway station and met a local man from a different faith. Their interaction led to a crowd gathering, which escalated into arguments, stone pelting, and vandalism. Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh explained that the girl had a missing report filed in Badaun, and the police were alerted to her location.

SSP Ajay Singh added, “Upon interrogation, it was found that it was a matter related to Hindu-Muslim or different communities. Following this some people gathered and got into an argument. Police reached the spot. There were also attempts at stone pelting and some vehicles were also vandalised.”
