Police Search for Bhole Baba After Hathras Stampede Tragedy

Police in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, are searching for the preacher Bhole Baba, who is missing after a tragic stampede in Hathras that claimed 121 lives. DSP Sunil Kumar confirmed Bhole Baba was not found in his ashram.

SP City Rahul Mithas checked the ashram’s security and found no one there. Aligarh BJP MP Satish Gautam Bagla met the victims and assured that CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action to prevent such incidents. Advocate AP Singh expressed sorrow over the tragedy and thanked PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath for their support.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has set up a three-member Judicial Inquiry Commission, chaired by Justice (Retd.) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, to investigate the incident. The commission will submit a report in two months.

The stampede occurred when devotees rushed to seek blessings from Bhole Baba, leading to chaos. An FIR has been lodged against the event organizers, but Bhole Baba remains untraceable. The police have launched a search operation at Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri district.
