Police Raid Uncovers Mini Gun Factory in Bihar
A joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) from Kolkata Police, STF Patna, and Madharwa Police Station in Bihar conducted a raid on a mini gun manufacturing factory in Ruprahimpur village, Bihar’s Saran district. The raid took place on Monday night, leading to the detention of four skilled workers and the owner, Akhilesh Kumar Kushwaha. However, his co-partner, Anil Kumar Yadav, remains at large.
Items Recovered
During the search, the following items were recovered:
- One 7.65 mm semiautomatic improvised firearm
- 7.65 mm live cartridges
- Numerous semi-finished improvised 7.65 mm pistol parts
- One lathe machine
- Two milling machines
- One drilling machine
- One grinding and polishing machine
- One welding machine
- One diesel-powered electric generator
- One hand grinder
- Various raw materials and tools
The workers detained were identified as Mohammad Chand alias Domu (30), Mohammad Sahil Alam (20), MD Irfan, and Mohammad Parwaz Alam. A case will be registered at Madharwa Police Station.
Huge Cache of Arms Found in Manipur
Earlier this month, a joint operation by the Indian Army and Manipur Police in Imphal East district led to the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition. The operation, which lasted 72 hours, involved the use of Patrol dogs and Explosive Detection Dogs due to the complex terrain.

- Four Burmese Iron Rods
- An Improvised Explosive Device
- One Modified Grenade Launcher
- One G3 Rifle
- Six 303 Rifles
- One .22 Pistol
- A Grenade
- 25 locally made Improvised Explosive Devices
- 115 rounds of ammunition of various weapons
- Three magazines of multiple weapons
- Two Radio Sets
- Other war-like stores
