Police Investigate ‘Bhole Baba’ After Stampede at Hathras Event

A stampede at a religious event in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, has led to an investigation into ‘Bhole Baba’ by Aligarh Inspector General of Police, Shalabh Mathur. Six people have been arrested, and a Rs 1 lakh reward is offered for the main accused, Prakash Madhukar. The police are also looking into whether a criminal conspiracy was involved.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a judicial probe, with a report expected in two months.
