Police in Maharashtra Investigate Two Serious Crimes in Palghar

The Maharashtra Police have registered a case against two men, Jitendra Yadav and Avi Jaiswal, for gang-raping a 32-year-old woman at knifepoint in Santosh Bhavan, Nalasopara, Palghar district. The Tulinj police, based on the woman’s statement, have registered a case under sections 70(1) and 351(2) of the BNS, and an operation to apprehend the accused is underway.

In a separate incident on September 11, two men were arrested for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Nalasopara, Palghar district. The girl, who lives with her family in Shirdinagar, Nalasopara East, was returning home after witnessing Ganesh Utsav when she was stopped by two individuals, taken to a deserted place, and raped. Both cases are currently under investigation by the Tulinj police.
