Police Detain 24 Suspects in Reasi for Vandalism of Religious Place

In Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir, police have detained 24 suspects and rounded up 43 individuals in connection with the vandalism of a religious place in Dharmari, Arnas. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Mohita Sharma, shared that investigations are ongoing and appealed for calm and communal harmony.

SSP Sharma stated, “The culprit involved in the incident will be brought in front of the public very soon. Reasi Police are committed to solving the case and tracing the culprits at the earliest.”

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Iftekhar added, “Anti-social elements who want to disturb the Hindu-Muslim brotherhood will be caught. The police have registered a case and around three suspects have been rounded up. Many more people have been identified. Police teams are on the job.”

A Special Investigation Team has been formed to handle the sensitive matter, with DSP-level officers overseeing the investigation. Earlier on June 30, 12 suspects were detained in connection with the case.
