Police Arrest Two More Members of Hashim Baba Gang in Connection with Gym Owner’s Murder

The Delhi Special Police Cell and the Meerut Special Task Force (STF) arrested two more members of the Hashim Baba gang on Thursday morning. The suspects, Anas Khan (18) and Asad Ameen (21), were involved in the murder of 35-year-old gym owner Nadir Shah, who was shot dead in South Delhi on September 12.

According to the Delhi Special Police Cell, Anas and Asad were shot in the leg during an encounter with the police. A case has been registered in PS Khatauli, UP. The police recovered a stolen Kia Seltos car, three pistols, and nine live cartridges from the suspects.

Anas Khan was wanted in four other criminal cases in Delhi, including two for murder and two for attempted murder. The police received information that Anas and Asad were roaming around Ghaziabad and Delhi. A team was formed to search for them, and their car was intercepted on the Delhi-Haridwar Highway near Bhainsi villa in Khatauli at 4 a.m. on Thursday.

The suspects opened fire on the police team, leading to a shootout in which both Anas and Asad were injured. They were taken to a nearby government hospital. On September 14, the Delhi Police had already arrested five other suspects in connection with Nadir Shah’s murder. The suspects were identified as Nitlesh Tiwari, Vishal Verma, Akash Yadav, Naveen Balayan, and Sajid. All were presented in court and remanded in police custody for 10 days.
