Moscow, Russia – Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his commitment to work three times harder and faster to achieve India’s goals during his two-day visit to Russia. Addressing the Indian community in Moscow, he highlighted India’s rapid development over the past decade and set ambitious targets for his third term.

India’s Achievements and Future Goals

PM Modi emphasized that India is now a global leader in digital transactions and has the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world. He noted that the number of airports in India has doubled in the past 10 years, and the country has successfully hosted events like the G20 Summit.

He outlined the government’s goals for his third term, including making India the third-largest economy, building 3 crore houses for the poor, and creating 3 crore ‘Lakhpati Didis’—women from self-help groups in villages earning over Rs 1 lakh annually.

Global Recognition

PM Modi stated that the world is amazed by India’s pace of development, citing achievements like the Chandrayaan mission and the electrification of over 40,000 kilometers of railway lines. He expressed gratitude to the Indian community in Russia for their support and conveyed the love and good wishes of 140 crore Indians.

Meeting with Russian President

Earlier, PM Modi had an informal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Novo-Ogaryovo residence. The two leaders shared a warm greeting, marking the start of their discussions. PM Modi was received with a ceremonial welcome at the Vnukovo-II airport by Denis Manturov, the first Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra, and India’s Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, accompanied PM Modi during the visit.
