PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Pune Metro and Solapur Airport, Lay Foundation for New Projects in Maharashtra
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate various projects in Maharashtra worth over Rs. 11,200 crore on Sunday through video conferencing.
Pune Metro Inauguration
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Pune Metro section from District Court to Swargate, marking the completion of the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1). This underground section costs around Rs 1,810 crore.
Swargate-Katraj Extension
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Swargate-Katraj Extension of Pune Metro Phase-1, which will be developed at a cost of around Rs 2,955 crore. This 5.46 km extension is completely underground with three stations: Market Yard, Padmavati, and Katraj.
Bidkin Industrial Area
The Prime Minister will dedicate the Bidkin Industrial Area, a transformative project covering 7,855 acres under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program. Located 20 km south of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, this project has an overall cost of over Rs. 6,400 crore and will be developed in three phases.
Solapur Airport
PM Modi will also inaugurate the Solapur Airport, which has been revamped to serve around 4.1 lakh passengers annually, improving connectivity for tourists, business travelers, and investors.
Memorial for Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a memorial for Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule’s First Girls’ School at Bhidewada.
