Meeting with South Korean President

On the sidelines of the East Asia Summit, PM Modi also met with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. Modi expressed his pleasure in meeting the South Korean leader and discussed various bilateral issues.

Discussions with Thailand’s Prime Minister

Earlier, PM Modi held talks with Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. The discussions focused on enhancing trade ties and cultural connections between India and Thailand. Modi highlighted the importance of sectors like defense, shipping, and digital innovations.

East Asia Summit Highlights

PM Modi was the first leader to speak at the 19th East Asia Summit, emphasizing India’s commitment to ASEAN unity and the Indo-Pacific vision. He also mentioned the revival of Nalanda University as a significant achievement.

During his visit, PM Modi attended the 21st ASEAN-India Summit and witnessed a performance of the Lao Ramayan by the Royal Theatre of Luang Prabang.
