PM Modi’s Visit to Russia: Talks with President Putin on Technology Exchange

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Russia, the Indian Russian business community is hopeful for discussions on technology exchange with President Vladimir Putin. Sammy Manoj Kotwani, President of Indian Business Alliance, expressed excitement about the visit.

PM Modi will attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit and engage with the Indian community. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra shared details about the visit, including a private dinner hosted by President Putin.

Details of the Visit

At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Modi will make an official visit to Moscow on July 8-9. This visit marks the first bilateral visit after PM Modi came to power for the third time. The Russian media is covering the visit positively, seeing it as a milestone in India-Russia friendship.

Preparations are underway to welcome PM Modi, who is scheduled to engage with the Indian community a day after his arrival. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra mentioned that both leaders have spoken multiple times since their meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in 2022.

Agenda of the Visit

PM Modi will arrive in Moscow in the late afternoon of July 8. President Putin will host a private dinner for PM Modi on the day of arrival. The two leaders will review the full range of multifaceted ties between India and Russia. This will be followed by restricted level talks and delegation level talks led by PM Modi and President Putin.
