PM Modi’s Vision for a Developed India by 2047 on 78th Independence Day
New Delhi, August 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the central government’s reforms over the past 10 years, which have boosted the confidence of the youth. Addressing the nation from the Red Fort on the 78th Independence Day, he emphasized the need to break the status quo that existed post-independence.
PM Modi said, “People waited for reforms, we got an opportunity and we implemented major reforms. Our commitment to reform is not restricted to editorials, our reforms are not for small praise it is for making the country strong. This has resulted in the rise in self-confidence. There are now many avenues open for our youngsters. The youth now does not want to walk slowly they want to jump to achieve new things, and they want to take giant leaps. This is a golden era for India.”
He urged the nation to seize this opportunity to achieve the goals of a developed India by 2047. He highlighted advancements in various sectors like tourism, MSME, and health, and the importance of adopting modern practices and technology.
PM Modi also praised women’s self-help groups, which now include around 10 crore women, stating, “When women become financially independent this changes society.”
Expressing concern over the increasing frequency of natural disasters, he offered his sympathies to affected families and assured them of the nation’s support.
Remembering the sacrifices of those who fought for independence, PM Modi said, “This is the day to salute those who have fought and sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence. We bow down to every brave heart and pay our respects with reverence.”
He also acknowledged the contributions of farmers, soldiers, youth, and other sectors in the nation’s progress. He urged the nation to work towards becoming self-reliant and achieving a developed India by 2047.
Earlier, PM Modi was welcomed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries at the Red Fort. This marks the 11th time PM Modi has addressed the nation from the Red Fort on Independence Day, making him the third Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to do so. The theme for this year’s Independence Day is ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047.’
