PM Modi’s Big Announcements in Mumbai: Shiv Sena’s Anand Dubey Criticizes BJP

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mumbai, he announced projects worth Rs 29,400 crore and claimed 8 crore jobs were created in four years. Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey criticized the BJP, suggesting the PM will face a tougher challenge in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Major Announcements

PM Modi laid the foundation stone for several projects, including:

  • Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Project worth over Rs 6,300 crore
  • Kalyan Yard Remodelling and Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai
  • New platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus
  • Extension of Platforms No. 10 and 11 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Station

Youth Internship Program

PM Modi also launched the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana with an outlay of around Rs 5,600 crore. This program aims to address youth unemployment by providing opportunities for skill enhancement and industry exposure for youth aged 18 to 30 years.

Political Reactions

Anand Dubey of Shiv Sena (UBT) criticized the timing of the PM’s speeches and questioned the job creation claims. He suggested that the BJP will face a tougher challenge in the Maharashtra assembly elections compared to the 2024 general elections.
