PM Modi to Launch Subhadra Yojana in Odisha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on September 17 to launch the Subhadra Yojana, a new scheme aimed at helping over 1 crore women. The scheme promises to provide Rs 50,000 to each eligible woman over five years.

First Installment Release

BJP MP Sambit Patra announced that the first installment of Rs 5,000 will be distributed to 1 crore 30 lakh women. This marks the beginning of the Subhadra Yojana, fulfilling a promise made by PM Modi during the election campaign.

Holiday in Bhubaneswar

The Odisha government has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in Bhubaneswar on September 17 to mark the Prime Minister’s visit.

Additional Initiatives

During the event, PM Modi will also release assistance to nearly 13 lakh beneficiaries under the PMAY-G scheme across 14 states. Additionally, he will launch the Awaas+ 2024 App for surveying more households for PMAY-G and introduce the Operational Guidelines of PMAY-U 2.0.
