PM Modi to Launch Six Vande Bharat Trains and Inaugurate Railway Projects in Jharkhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on Sunday at 10 am to flag off six Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar. He will also lay the foundation stone for various railway projects worth more than Rs. 660 crores and distribute sanction letters to 20,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
PM Modi emphasized the development of Jharkhand, stating, “We are determined for the rapid development of Jharkhand. Today at around 10 am, I will have the privilege of flagging off six ‘Vande Bharat’ trains at Tatanagar, as well as laying the foundation stone and inaugurating many more projects. Apart from this, I will also be a part of the program related to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.”
New Vande Bharat Trains
The six new Vande Bharat trains will improve connectivity on the following routes:
- Tatanagar – Patna
- Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah
- Brahmapur – Tatanagar
- Gaya – Howrah
- Deoghar – Varanasi
- Rourkela – Howrah
These trains will boost religious tourism by providing faster travel to pilgrimage sites like Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, Kalighat, and Belur Math in Kolkata.
Railway Projects
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Madhupur Bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot in Hazaribag district. The Madhupur Bypass line will reduce travel time between Giridih and Jasidih, while the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot will facilitate maintenance of coaching stocks.
Additionally, PM Modi will dedicate the Kurkura-Kanaroan doubling project, part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi single line section, to the nation. This project will increase the mobility of goods and passenger traffic. Four Road Under Bridges (RUBs) will also be dedicated to enhance safety for common people.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin
PM Modi will distribute sanction letters to 20,000 PMAY-G beneficiaries from Jharkhand and release the first installment of assistance. He will also participate in the Griha Pravesh celebrations of 46,000 beneficiaries.
