Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for several development projects in Maharashtra, valued at over Rs 7600 crore, via video conference. These projects include the upgradation of Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, with an estimated cost of Rs 7000 crore, aimed at boosting sectors like manufacturing, aviation, and tourism in the Vidarbha region.

Additionally, PM Modi will initiate the construction of a New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport, costing over Rs 645 crore, designed to enhance facilities for religious tourists. The terminal’s theme is inspired by the spiritual neem tree of Sai Baba.

In healthcare, the Prime Minister will operationalize 10 new Government Medical Colleges across Maharashtra, enhancing medical education and providing specialized healthcare services. These colleges are located in cities such as Mumbai, Nashik, and Jalna.

Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai, a collaboration between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Government of India. The institute aims to train an industry-ready workforce in areas like artificial intelligence and robotics.

The Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) of Maharashtra will also be inaugurated, offering students and educators access to academic data and resources to improve educational outcomes.
